Yeah.. I can’t even begin to put my frustration with email to words 😛 both in general terms and with the native email apps of MacOS and iOS. They are actually neck to neck with Microsoft on this.. outdated, ugly and confusion.. like they hired a usability expert and did the exact opposite of what that person advised.
To be fair with Big Sur it has gotten better but it’s still kinda 2015.
